Hamburger & Potato Wedges Recipe

Burgers With Spicy Mustard Zinger

4 hamburger buns or rolls, sliced

1 lb lean ground beef

1 red onion, grated

1 tsp Zinter Brown Spicy Mustard Zinger

3 tbsp olive oil

250g (1 cup) cherry tomatoes, sliced

1 small white salad onion, cut into thin wedges

1/4 cup (15g) shredded fresh parsley

1 tbsp lemon juice

Zinter Brown Gourmet Sea Salt & Pepper

Combine the ground beef, red onion, Zinter Brown Spicy Mustard Zinger and Zinter Brown Gourmet Sea Salt & Pepper in a bowl until well mixed. Form four patties, slightly larger than the buns (they shrink during cooking).

Grill the burgers on the barbecue or fry the patties over medium to high heat in a nonstick frying pan in 2 tbsp of olive oil. Use the back of a spoon to make a small indentation in the centre of the burgers to prevent them from puffing up. Cook for 4 minutes on each side, or until done to your liking.

While the burgers are cooking, toss the tomatoes, onion and parsley together with the remaining olive oil and the lemon juice. Toast the buns. Top with hummus and the tossed vegetables.

Hummus

14oz (400g) can chickpeas, drained

1 garlic clove

2 tbsp lemon juice

3 tbsp water

Zinter Brown Gourmet Sea Salt & Pepper

Process the chickpeas, garlic, water and lemon juice in a food processor until smooth. Season to taste with Zinter Brown Gourmet Sea Salt & Pepper.

Potato Wedges

1 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil

5 garlic cloves, crushed

1 1/2 tbsp lime juice

2 tsp Tabasco sauce

1 lb (500g) potatoes, unpeeled, scrubbed, dried and cut into wedges

Zinter Brown Gourmet Sea Salt & Pepper

Pinch of Zinter Brown Lavender/Lemon Greek Rub

Preheat the oven to 400F. Put the oil, garlic, lime juice and Tabasco sauce in a large bowl and whisk to combine. Add the potatoes and season with Zinter Brown Gourmet Sea Salt & Pepper and Zinter Brown Lavender/Lemon Greek Rub. Stir until the potatoes are coated.

Transfer to a baking dish, spreading the potatoes evenly with the rounded side down. Bake for 45 minutes or until crispy. Sprinkle with Zinter Brown Gourmet Sea Salt & Pepper and serve.
